Designed by notable local architect Trey Jordan, this residence integrates a serene modern aesthetic with references to traditional New Mexico forms and details. This home has room-like courtyards with high walls, portals and terraces. Enjoy the aspen courtyard fountain and the covered outdoor dining room with a wood burning fireplace.
Upper-level terraces and balconies continue the architectural connection to air and light. The interior wood burning fireplace achors the greatroom, high open-beamed ceilings , brick flooring and hand-troweled plaster define the main floor living area.
This home with 1,690 square feet, takes advantage of its large eastern exposure with a series of full-height windows and doors in the greatroom, a covered dining portal and woodburning fireplace just off the kitchen, and a large balcony off of the master bedroom. The custom kitchen opens to the hard-trowel plastered dining and living areas, with its masonry fireplace giving a sense of openness and light. A terraced courtyard steps down to the lower level guest suite with its own private entry and portal.
Interior detailing includes stainless steel appliances and countertops in the kitchen with custom wood cabinetry and a marble slab backslash. Upper level details feature painted wood plank paneling on the master bedroom ceiling along with mosaic floor tile and ceramic wall tile in master and guest bathrooms.
